Can someone tell me if coconut cream powder means coconut flavoured dairy cream powder or
coconut cream powder from coconuts
I have a thing for asymmetry. My mixed nail polish colours are a symbolism of
that, and that even in ugly experiences good things can result from it. For example, this was all I had for dinner a few nights ago after a failed food-#veganize attempt. Thankfully because of that I was able to get properly sloshed for once 🍻 I did my usual #asktoveganize routine at a cafe where I’d look for the token vegetarian item and ask that they #droptheegg 😴 After much delay, my food arrived.. with anchovies and pieces of chicken. This was at a popular and pretty packed kopitiam so the tauke/boss refused to back down and said it makes no sense to expect that the vegetarian dish I ordered would not contain meat in a non-vegetarian restaurant 🤷♂️ No refund, no sorry, no #tryharder 💀 He did explain that the contamination was likely because they don’t wash the wok between meals 🙃 “but we don’t use pork oil so don’t need worry” - like no shit sir I hope you’re genuine about that Halal sign too. Quite the experience compared to every other dish I’ve #veganized in Kuching - mostly at places I’ve frequented over the years and most importantly aren’t too stuck up to own their mistakes. Anyhow, great cashews. Got hammered. What’s not to love? ps. #veganisnotscary still because you’re gonna have to try harder to break me 🖕
A peace offering from the petrol station for messing up my checkout process. I gladly
accepted it #forthedollar 😛 #cashews are great but not always vegan in snack form, blame whomever decided it was a good idea to coat them with honey, cream, or shrimp powder even 😪
#cashew nuts with a light but delicious coating of salt, very addictive and too easy
to get through before you fully realise what you're doing 😅 In the background: the outdoor pool/jacuzzi area of our villa at the Banjaran Hot Springs Retreat in Ipoh, where this was given to us as a free mini-bar #snack 😉
