OMG.....I'm so in awe of the clever peeps that make these meat substitutes. I haven't

missed meat once since going vegan, but if this keeps someone on the straight and narrow during a weak moment.....or impresses a vegan-sceptic, then it's gotta be good. 37.6% protein and no E's. Unfortunately, my house now smells of fried pig and my neighbours probably think I'm a big fake. It made a really good BLAT. Will buy it again.

This veggie bacon is soooooo good (almost too realistic), very high in protein and other

beneficial nutrients without all the nasties of dead pigs...

Now and again I love a good ol’ junk food in front of a movie

kinda night—pizza anyone! 🥰

Tonight I thought I’d fry a few strips of Sunfed’s boar-free bacon as a pizza topping alongside red onion, dairy-free mozzarella, and then fresh avocado to go on afterward.

I currently live in a small town where quite a large number of farmers reside. Funnily enough, this product (found alongside meat from animals at my local supermarket) sells out fast for $7.99, every week! 😮

I see that as testament to the quality. It has a nice flavour, smells good whilst cooking, and the texture can be softer or crispier depending your taste.

I usually briefly fry it on a low heat with a pinch of salt, and to me that achieves the best result. 🙂

Tried this for the first time this week, my partner bought from Woolies.

I really like

the flavour - nicely smoky and salty. Texture wise, it was like the really crispy parts of bacon strips (from what I remember - it’s been about 14 years 🥴). It doesn’t seem to need long at all in the frypan, it’s easy to overcook and goes crunchy pretty quickly.

Not a regular purchase for me, but might buy every now and then for something different.

Ps. Doesn’t the new footage from Farm Transparency Project released this week once again reinforce how f*cked up the “pork” industry is, such incomprehensible, unnecessary suffering 😭💔 It makes my stomach turn.

This this boar free bacon was beautiful! 🥓 The texture and flavour was amazingly similar

to the bacon form dead pigs… 🐷 although it is made 100% from plants 🌱 and is actually healthy for you… say what?! Healthy bacon 😍 and it’s healthy for the planet! 🌏 💚
