SGD4.32 after 50% off, from Redmart I liked this very much. Made half the pack into a stir fry with broccoli. It forms nice clumps resembling minced meat when stir-fried. It has a firm bite (firmer in comparison to Omnimeat mince). There is a strong garlicky chicken flavour. I could have done without the chicken flavour, but it did blend nicely into my other seasonings--Chinese chilli broad bean paste, vegan mushroom oyster sauce. I used the remaining half of the pack to make meatballs for miso noodle soup (didn't take any pictures). I seasoned the mince with sesame oil, soy sauce, ground black pepper. I mixed in a potato starch and water slurry for binding. Dropped them into boiling mushroom stock to cook. They came out with a tender texture and had lost the firm bite. Perhaps it was due to the addition of sesame oil and potato starch slurry? I will try without next time. All in all, the Stir Fry Mince makes tasty meatballs for miso noodle soup. I would make it again.
