The filling doesn’t look as hearty as in the photo of their packaging. It’s more soft and creamy, a texture like refried beans. No chunks like I had imagined, but it’s still very tasty and full of flavor, and it carried me through a very busy day. It’s all I had all day before my weekly evening shift of caring for the animals at #alohaanimalsanctuary. I took this photo in front of our beautiful hibiscus tree that is near a duck pool. I just had to add a photo of our adorable duck Sunny. Can you believe that all these photos are him and that he’ll only be 3 months old next week?! He is bigger then his mom and all the other ladies, but he still snuggles with his mom at night 🐣🥰. He was born to one of our ducks, which we try to prevent, but she was so determined to be a mama that she hid her eggs too carefully from us. But we all love him so much. He came to us at a very difficult time and is a ray of #sunshine ☀️🌞😎 This burrito is #highinsaturatedfat, but I’m okay with that for days like this because it’s also #highprotein and #convenient (if you have access to a #microwave).

I was able to stop by the vegan grocery store near Buffalo today while out and about. The steak ranchero burritos from alpha foods isn’t a flavor I can find near my home so I grabbed it. Delicious! I only ever get these when they’re on sale because they can be pricey for what you get. I’m pretty sure the “steak” was jackfruit which was refreshing. I really enjoyed this flavor, and it was even better with some fresh avocado & hot sauce. I like to microwave them since it’s fast, then I throw it in the air fryer for a few minutes to crisp it up. #burrito #veganburrito #frozenburrito
First time trying this product and it was incredible. The steakless strips were moist and the #violife cheese melted inside the burrito perfectly. The seasoning was flavorful and bold. We had some vegan sour cream at home and that rounded out the dish.
I love Alpha frozen burritos. This “Steakless Ranchero” is one of my favorite flavors. Made with Violife brand vegan cheese, it’s palm oil free, but kind of high in saturated fat (coconut oil) and sodium — tho it has 10 grams of protein! I always microwave these for 2 minutes, which is just on the edge of making the flour tortilla chewy, but still good. Might come out better if heated another way, but I’ve never tried it.
