Not for me. It’s not that I was deceived; rather, I just need to get better at reading labels — I think I was slightly blinded by the $0.25 price tag and forgot to give this #ditchdairy creamer a critical look-over. It turns out that it clashes with a couple of personal preferences. First off, palm oil! I know many of us are trying to reduce our consumption of this controversial ingredient, and I was really disappointed to see it listed. Secondly, it’s rather sweet. I was initially glad to see only 1g of added sugar, but I didn’t quite register the 1 Tbsp serving size — in other words, 16g per cup. Obviously I’m not going to add that much creamer to my coffee, but even so, it’s nearly double the added sugar of an equivalent volume of sweetened soy milk, and I really noticed the taste. In the interest of fairness, the creamer was genuinely smooth and creamy, and it didn’t split in my coffee, but that’s all. I’ll go back to taking mine black.
