Loved these. 😍 Quick to cook and very tasty. I was intrigued to taste them as they are entirely made of mushrooms 🍄 with gluten-free flour. Cooked in the pan, they have a slightly charred flavour. Delicious. Pricey considering there's 5 to a packet at almost R200! (Yes, curiosity got the better of my purse.) Would I buy them again? When I'm flush , definitely. Good enough to fool your average bbq-goer.
I saw these and I thought I’d give it a try. This is the first product that actually works on a braai. It has a very nice smokey taste, quite close to chicken texture. Generally, I am not too fussed about the texture, only taste. But both were really nice for these chicken style kebabs. It’s quite pricey. Although, the pieces are so big, I can only eat one at a time. So if I look at it from this perspective, it’s affordable. I would recommend to give it a try if you feel like something that tastes like chicken kebabs.
While they have a variety of options I prefer the kebabs, which I thaw, remove from the sticks, cube and use in a casserole or curry. It never fails to impress even determined carnists
