This tastes phenomenal! But the processed ingredients keep me from eating it too often.

Mmmmm….. nope! Not for me. Pumpkin spice is all around us, but it doesn’t mean I’ll fall in line. The cheesecake itself is pretty grainy; while there is a pumpkin spice flavour it’s mainly just sweet - too sweet
This was a fun find at Grocery Outlet! Call me basic but I’m a #pumpkinspice girlie so anything of the sort grabs my attention. I never cared for dairy cheesecake but my boyfriend loves it so I thought it was best to wait until he’d be home for a few days before digging in. The cheesecake is pretty small, yet the idea that it is three servings is a bit wild to me. I have a big #sweettooth but the cake is also very rich, making a small slice perfect. We cut the cheesecake into 8 pieces. The texture is lovely. I’m not sure how it compares to dairy cheesecake but its firm yet soft and a bit fluffy with a crumbly crust layer on the bottom. The pumpkin spice flavor is present but not very strong. I’ve wondered about this cheesecake for years but never purchased it until now as it’s expensive at full price and there’s truly so many delicious goodies to make and buy in the fall. I don’t think I would repurchase this one as we’d both rather enjoy a pumpkin pie but I am really happy to have tried it. I purchased the cheesecake for $3.99 in June but I believe I’ve seen it since so it may be further reduced now if still available. $3.99 at Grocery Outlet #pumpkinspice #daiya #vegancheesecake #groceryoutletfinds
Fall/winter seasonal products have been randomly appearing at my Grocery Outlet lately, and I’m not mad about it. More interesting vegan food to review on the cheap? Sign me up! I was also secretly hoping that the #pumpkinspice flavor would transport me from the stuffy weather we’ve been having recently to a cool autumn’s day. I don’t really care for most vegan cheeses and tend to avoid Daiya products, but their attempt at #ditchdairy cheesecake surprisingly isn’t half bad. It surely isn’t for the health-conscious: one serving (as written) shoots you up to 100% DV saturated fat. In all fairness, though, 1/3 of the cake is a ridiculous serving size — this dessert is so rich that 1/6 or 1/8 is enough to satisfy — they even recommend slicing it into 4-6 even pieces in their own thawing instructions. The filling was super thick, sweet, and decadent; I wish there had been maybe 10% more pumpkin and spices in it since some of the flavor was neutralized by the sugar and the tanginess of the coconut-based #creamcheese. I personally found the #glutenfree base a bit damp and doughy, although that might have been down to my thawing; I didn’t follow the instructions precisely and noticed some condensation in the container. I’m not a big #cheesecake fan, so I personally would not get this again. It was a bit overwhelming and way too much for one person (they recommend consuming within 48 hours of thawing and are fairly emphatic about not refreezing, but it took me a little over a week to finish.) It might be nice to share with others at a holiday gathering, but at that point I’d much rather just make a pumpkin pie. This still exceeded my expectations, though, and I think it may be a winner with others, particularly pumpkin spice fiends and those with a #sweettooth!
#glutenfree #vegancheesecake #nongmocertified #daiyafoods This cheezecake was an impromptu purchase for me at Metro. At $2.64, I couldn’t resist. So I bought 2. I guess being out of season, it was very heavily discounted. Although I like pumpkin spice, I don’t think I’ve ever tried a pumpkin pie or a pumpkin cheesecake before. I’ve always shied away from it; it’s never appealed to me. But I gave this a try, and I absolutely loved it; it is beautifully spiced. It’s creamy too. Its nutritional value leaves a lot to be desired, though. Each cheezecake offers 3 servings and although it’s a delicious source of fibre, calcium and iron, there are a lot of calories, fat, sugar and sodium. Too much in my opinion, but then again, it’s cheezecake No one ever claimed cheesecake is healthy, not even vegan cheezecake. I’ll take my time eating this one and I think I’ll let the other sit in the freezer for a while.
