Ready-to-eat #polenta was part of Italian week at #lidl this time! I really love polenta (such a comfort food) but am always fearful about trying to make it on my own, so this seemed like a good option to start with. It is made with only four ingredients: water, #cornflour, #salt and #tartaricacid, and nutritionally offers low-sugar carbs though a bit heavy on the salt. Beyond the nutrition chart, it is rich in vitamins A and from group B, a source of antioxidants, is low in calories and is #glutenfree. It is very easy to prepare, I sliced it and sauteéd it in some extra virgin olive oil then topped it with a homemade red pesto sauce, tofu, black olives and rúcula. Very tasty, I must say!! And also perfect for any #veganonabudget, only 0,99€ for the 1kg package.
