Delicious Victoria sponge Cake £3.90 ordered via Ocado who advertise some of M&S vegan

plant kitchen products . A lovely texture vegan Jam & butter cream filling sprinkled with icing sugar. I found it delightful and couldn't fault the flavour & presentation. I'd order this time and time again for cakes as apart from it's exquisite taste it's substantial and filling . I was pricing up vegan cakes to order in bakery and they were quite pricey for special occasions so this is great value for celebration cake too.

Sooooooo thrilled to finally have a vegan Victorian sponge in shops! I loved this

and thought it was delicious. Apparently they have a new chocolate cake too. It was 4.50 which seems quite pricey unfortunately. Hopefully they will keep it on sale after Veganuary. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I couldn’t find this at our regular, smaller M&S, so I had to go into

the big store in the city 😩 It was worth the travel as this is a pretty tasty cake. The sponge is dense and a little drier than I’d like, but it’s still ok. I would buy it again but not too frequently. If they improve the recipe, that could change! 😋

It’s been years since I’ve been able to have a Victoria Sponge Cake and I’ve

forgotten how good it was! This cake brought back all the memories of it. The strawberry jam and mock cream were scrumptious and the cake, while not as spongy and light as the original, was still lovely. The cake was on the dense side but all the flavours were there and I could have easily eaten the whole cake if I didn’t have to share it with my coworkers lol

Really good and would have easily been 5 stars but had a very slight artificial

taste, and apart from a lot of ingredients… it was super delicious! Perfect with a cuppa or coffee. The cream was very similar to cream used in a cream finger rather than a butter cream, the sponge was ok again slightly synthetic vibes but again still tasty. Would recommend and will be buying again!
