I loved the canned gigantes beans by this brand so I decided to try out this eggplant one. It tastes really good - the fried eggplant is super soft and silky and I enjoyed the flavour of the tomato sauce and aromatics. We had a large spoonful on top of rice; it would be really delicous with some crusty bread. Unfortunately there is an obscene amount of oil that is floating at the bottom of the can so I don't know if I would purchase this again. I managed to scoop out the eggplant avoiding as much oil as possible, but as delicous as it was, I was pretty grossed out by the amount of oil. It doesn't look anything like the picture on the can. The eggplant is in big chunks instead and seen in the last photo. This was $4.49 cad at Freshco.

Practical to have available when you don’t have time to cook - soft #eggplants cooked in lots of #soy oil, #tomato and #onion 🍆🍅🧅 However a little pricy, it was 3€something for a small can
Picked this tin of #eggplant up unsure how to use it, but ended up employing it as the base of a pasta sauce. 🍆 It tasted slightly metallically, but mellowed out with a bit of simmering. Not bad but not something I’ll be purchasing regularly as a fresh #aubergine is cheaper! #greek
Eggplants in tomato sauce and with onions. Tastes quite good, but too much vegetable oil for my taste.
These were ok, too tangy for my taste but a good addition to pasta. It doesn’t look like in the picture but comes in a sort if sauce with eggplant pieces.
