Oooh, these were really good! I’ve never had an actual pork rind before so don’t have that to compare to, but regardless, these were tasty. Crunchy, light, full of bbq flavor. Thanks for the treat @waisum
Cute packaging! That aside, this tastes like paprika puffs with a sprinkle of bacon and bbq. It’s a nice afternoon snack but there’s a 9/10 chance I’d abandon this at the aisle for something lighter/sweeter (popcorn, apple chips) or saltier (read: addictive) 🍕. You may love this with wine.
I probably would not get these again just because they aren’t as good as I thought they’d be. In my opinion, they don’t have any similar texture to actual non-vegan pork rinds and are more dense and hardened than what they’re trying to mimic. I used to love pork rinds as a kid and it’s one thing that I wish I’d find a vegan version of so I bought 4 different kinds and they are all pretty much the same taste-wise and texture-wise. I’m glad I bought them to try but I wasn’t super impressed with these (the BBQ flavor). Kudos to Walmart for having so many vegan pork rinds options though!
i’m in love. i remember the first time i bought these was back around black friday after i saw their ad. mind you i’ve never tried actual pork rinds, so i was a little hesitant but wow! from other reviews i’ve seen, they’re quite accurate to the “real thing” and even if they’re not, they’re super tasty. they have such a nice satisfying crunch that makes me want to waste all my money on them. i had to take a break from them for a while due to how pricy they are to buy online (and just buying them in general), but i found them at my local safeway and i just couldn’t resist! so yeah, 10/10 great bbq flavor, super crunchy, and probably accurate to what non vegan pork rinds taste like. the only downside is that they’re a little pricey!
