Finally opened and used this .. I don’t know what I was waiting for ..
it’s delicious.. I used it to make fudge … one bag of chocolate chips (yes of course vegan) and one jar of this.
Making goodies for neighbors..

My husband has a love/hate relationship with this product. He loves it so much it
angers him because he can’t stop eating it lol! It’s really good and addicting. It’s not overly sweet and doesn’t she that weird oily fake chocolate taste that other brands have. Great on toast with hemp or for dipping cinnamon sugar pita chips!

I like to amp up my choc chip cookies by adding a ball or dab
of hazelnut chocolate spread in the middle and add flaky sea salt on top. I had purchased this bottle of Nutiva some time ago as I was unable to get my favorite brand. This one is much more accessible but unfortunately it uses palm oil. It’s not overwhelmingly sweet on its own (comparatively to some) so it works well in this context. If you want pretty and more uniform filling, it’s best to dab on some parchment or something else nonstick and freeze in balls; then you can wrap them inside your cookie dough. Or you can just go with it and add a dab to a cookie dough well and wrap the dough around it. In this case you may get some chocolatey streaks.

Unfortunately it doesn’t much resemble Nutella, which is what I was hoping for when I
bought it. I think I’m not getting enough hazelnut? Too much chocolate/oil flavor? I can’t really tell what it is with this. I do enjoy it for what it is, but I have to remind myself it is NOT Nutella or I’ll be disappointed haha. I like it with strawberries, or mixed with peanut butter on toast with sliced banana.
I would buy this again not as a pantry staple, but if I had a particular craving for a chocolatey spread.

Nutiva Hazelnut Spread is a great vegan alternative to Nutella. Nutella was never the thing
that held me back from being vegan, but if it’s a staple for you, definitely check out the Nutiva spread. Has the same taste and texture as Nutella as far as I can tell. Pricier than Nutella, but this is definitely something I would get once in a while. #veganisnotscary
