One of my reviews without any notes, I had to repurchase it. I am grateful to have found it on sale this week near me. I haven’t had Mush in a minute. Surprisingly, I found this to be a mushy textured overnight oats. I didn’t recall them to be that mushy. 😅 The oats were chewy and soggy. Although I wasn’t such a fan of the texture, the vanilla flavor is quite comforting with notes of cinnamon (maybe it’s the dates? since there is no cinnamon in it, but visually it also looks like cinnamon.) One (141g) container provides 210 calories from 6g of fat, 33g of carbohydrates and a nice 6g of protein. Purchased on sale this week from Stop & Shop for $1, originally $2.49. *the lid is from when I originally purchased it, but since they redid the packaging, I included the updated one here. #oats #overnightoats #vanilla #almondmilk #breakfast #dates #protein #ditchdairy #nondairy #readytoeat #glutenfree #senzaglutine #singluten #glutenfrei #sansgluten

Back to reviewing the Mush Oats in my office fridge (thank you, @veganniran, for helping to sort out the duplicate product entries!) Mush has a program where you can try their #oats for free (they’ll reimburse you if you upload you receipt.) If you take them up on the offer, I don’t recommend trying #vanilla; it was my least favorite of the variety pack my office manager purchased (the other flavors were blueberry and strawberry, both of which I found significantly more pleasant.) Why was this a miss for me? I think, perhaps, because it combines two ingredients I feel ambivalent about: #almondmilk and #dates. Each has a somewhat-distinctive flavor which I could detect, and which I felt detracted from the taste of the vanilla. It was a bit too sweet, as well. If nutrition facts are to be believed, this variation has the most sugar (but marginally more fiber and protein, and less saturated fat — ultimately, it’s your call on what matters most.) Again, I have my own preferred method of making overnight oats at home, so this is not a product I would purchase under normal circumstances. This flavor especially does not seem to be worth the $2 it costs at large retailers, like Target. #ditchdairy #veganisnotscary
