We’re almost completely out of groceries so lunch is Dave’s Killer Bread with Miyoko's Creamery cream cheese and peach butter. This might be dinner, too. This cream cheese has a nice kick to it… almost tart. The peach butter balances it:)
this cream cheese has a sour taste. i tried it on a slice of sourdough with strawberries and hemp seeds. it was a sour over-load which i LOVED. i’ve also tried it on an english muffin just to see if it was still good on a sweeter bread and it was pretty good. the texture is more grainy than creamy. it actually really grew on me and i spread some on strawberries and tjs cinnamon alphabet cookies. and i HATED cream cheese growing up. anything with cream cheese i’d refuse to eat💅 i’ve heard many positive reviews from kite hills cc but it hasn’t been in stock and i’ve been too impatient and keep reaching for different plant based cream cheeses. tofutti was a miss and this is sightly better. it just doesn’t taste too much like cream cheese. and guess what. i saw kite hills cc in the fridge section today🙁 but i had to show some self control and move along because i don’t need three tubs of vegan cream cheese sitting in my fridge. this cream cheese is made from only 4 #organic ingredients with no added oil and contains 3g of #plantprotein. #dairyfree #veganbreakfast #glutenfree #palmoilfree #soyfree #nongmo #vegancreamcheese
This tasted terrible, like it had gone bad. I normally find vegan cream cheese too mild, but enjoyable. Here the flavor was mild but there was a sourness on top that overwhelmed everything. If you’re looking for a Philadelphia type of cream cheese, you won’t find it here. Also, it’s pricy.
Miyokos butter is fantastic, this is horrible. The flavor is sour and really unpleasant. I’m still amazed at how well miyokos can do at butter, but how badly they do cheese. I’ve tried the cream cheese, chive wheel, and pepper jack. They all went in the trash and were a waste of money. I’ve only been dairy free for 6 months, so I very much remember cheese. These products are not edible.
