If it's important to you that it's close to "real meat", I'd say this is a good equivalent, both in terms of smell, taste and fibrousness... #protein 📍I buyed it from Lidl, but it's found in various german supermarkets #veganfortheanimals #veganchicken #likemeat #wownocow #wow #glutenfree #highfibre #highprotein

Pretty convincing #fakemeat — I started mildly panicking during dinner because the texture and flavor reminded me so much of chicken. But fear not, it’s just good old, miraculous #soy! #veganisnotscary Nutritionally, it’s not half bad: it has a great amount of fiber and #protein (plus, it’s #glutenfree!) It looks like they’ve made an effort to reduce the sodium content over time, too. The pieces are lightly seasoned with paprika and some other basic savory spices. The chunks are firm and slightly stringy, as I remember chicken being; if anything, this vegan version is slightly juicier and more succulent. They are easy to reheat from frozen in a hot pan with the smallest amount of oil. I’m not sure if this was the best chick’n product I’ve ever had, but I was certainly impressed by its quality. I would definitely recommend these and plan to pick up another bag if I can find one — this was just $1.99 as #groceryoutletfinds. At that price, it’s definitely a steal! Although the bag seems a bit small, I was able to make nearly four meals with it, so I’m pretty pleased overall.

I am sold! I cannot wait to get back to the store to buy every box there! It reminds me of the original #woolworths / #woolworthsfood protein strips that I absolutely LOVED and that they messed up SO badly in my opinion when they replaced them with the “chicken-less” strips which the texture isnt the same and have a funny smell and taste to them. Anyway back to these. I like that it doesn’t have an underlying taste that alot of the fake chickens have. I love the very realistic meaty texture and that they fry crispy. The packaging is eco friendly like the linda McCartney stuff but like their stuff it melts and goes soggy easily and I think that’ll be a problem at the stores. The pic isn’t the greatest, I’ll try it in other ways like in a wrap and a salad. You could definitely do a toasted chic mayo sandwich.
