Another amazing cheese from La Fauxmagerie! I used to eat a lot of blue cheese before becoming vegan and this one is so similar that it seems impossible! 🥰

My French 🇫🇷sister in law kindly bought this for us. We never liked blue cheese 🧀before we were vegan but this is the second vegan one we really have liked. I’m surprised as well because it’s a coconut 🥥oil base along with almonds, tapioca flour, nutritional yeast, salt 🧂and vegan cultures. I can’t believe 😮they can make something so nice with 6 ingredients. Usually the coconut oil cheeses I don’t like as much but this one is a winner. This was approaching the best before date so it was half off in their shop for about £2. You should definitely visit their shop in east London just off Brick Lane to check out their cheeses and other brand’s vegan cheeses. They also do wine 🍾🍷tasting and cheese boards in their cellar. Great place!! #veganlondon #londoneats #vegancheese #cheese #saveveganrestaurants #veganrestaurant #allveganrestaurant
Ok I am very excited to review this blue cheese-alike because, for me, it tastes deeelicious. Is it expensive? Yes, but well worth the purchase because you can savour every last crumb. £5.50 - gasp! I know. However, I’m already planning all the ways I would like to try this delicacy. Today I raved over its creamy, tangy richness with wilted spinach and tomato on sourdough. Tomorrow, I fancy it with crispbread, pear and a few walnuts. It is made with almonds, coconut oil, tapioca flour, nutritional yeast, salt and vegan cultures. I’m not sure which vegan culture is used in Brixton Blue but I was interested to read how they work and saw this online: ‘Vegan Penicillium Roqueforti Used to make blue cheese varieties Imparts the signature color, texture (when paired with needling), and flavor of blue cheese.’ I believe the cultures also help with ripening. Apparently this business is the genius of two sisters from Wales. Well thank you very much, you’ve made my taste buds explode with delight. I will be back for more and to try some of the other varieties. #ditchdairy #fauxcheeseismykindofcheese #goveganfortheanimals #veganinlondon
We loved these vegan cheeses for Xmas! Some non vegans ate them and loved them too, they could hardly believe it
This cheese is AMAZING! Seriously, it tastes like blue cheese and it has the same texture too. I had it on bread and it was delicious. I also have tried this melted on pasta and really enjoyed! Super reccomended, if you miss cheese try this out! TOP.
