A new product from Juicy Marbles! As a big fan, @jonok knew about this release right away and jumped on the opportunity to get two packs of this "lamb". Back when I ate meat, I never had lamb. The only other time I've had vegan lamb was in dumplings at Anixi in NYC, so that's all I can compare it to. I think the flavor is very similar to Juicy Marble's regular steak flavor, maybe just a bit lighter. We cubed the loaf and marinated it with lemon juice, olive oil, and za'atar from Crystal Spoon Herb & Spice. It made really great pita sandwiches with Baba's hummus, Trader Joe's tzatziki, Toom garlic spread, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and arugula. The "lamb" cut was less juicy/"bloody" than the other Juicy Marbles steaks when we opened it making it easier to work with. It kinda grossed me out when raw, so I'm so thankful to have Jono cook it for me. It's just scary realistic when it's all pink and marbled! I set that as the last picture if you're curious. One package is a whole serving, but it can easily be shared. It was perfect for four pita pockets.
