I was excited to see Impossible Foods offering frozen meal bowls in a variety of
flavors and plant-based meats!
Even being a marketing major, I still wanted the finished product to somewhat resemble the picture on the packaging, which shows a little bit of sweet and sour sauce. However, I had to cook it longer than what the instructions were which is no problem but the sweet and sour sauce was Overkill and didn't allow the flavors to be detected of anything else. There was so much sauce and because it was the exact color as the pork pieces that it became hard to distinguish eating a pork piece because it severely lacked a meaty texture; it was more or less mushy.
I think much less sauce (27 g of sugar) and improve the texture of the pork if it is going to be accepted as a meat compromise.
On a good note, it did have less sodium than what I was expecting.
