#cornstarch is a must-have in the pantry, and must say this is the first time I have bought this name-brand. I used it in the top layer of a mousakka recipe (courtesy of @sanleeping 🥰) and it did the trick, adding its charcteristic thickness and creaminess. Next up: the veggie burger recipe on the box!! While photographing the box, I realized this is a Unilever product, a total turn-off and let-down. 😬🤬 When I finish this, I will have to double-check my usual Mercadona version to see who manufactures it. This is our go to cornstarch. We mainly use it in baking, for cookies and sponcakes, but it also works to make crispy tofu (which I yet have to master because I'm so basic when it comes to cooking tofu). We will continue to buy this one since it works the best. Lidl, 2,99€ (400 g)
Perfect for thickening sauces or coating tofu for that extra crispy crunch before throwing it on the pan!
