I was hesitant to buy this because the first ingredient is cauliflower which I thought would be weird and I was right! It has an unpleasant grainy texture. The taste however was really good. I meant to grab a bag of chips for this at the store but I got distracted. Instead I just mixed it with some gardein chicken and put it on a taco shell. It helped hide the grittiness of the queso that way so it worked out. Aside from the texture, this is a pretty good product with really clean, wholesome ingredients. #queso #veganiseasy
so this Good Foods Plant Based Queso Style Dip is my first “queso” since going vegan and from what i can remember (it’s been a while..), this isn’t really that close to actual queso. it’s thinner than i was expecting and the cheeze taste is more obviously reliant on nooch (nutritional yeast) and other spices (cumin and onion) than a typical cheezy flavor. i still enjoy it as a tortilla dunk and really enjoyed it in some homemade fiesta dip, but it’s just not giving me heavy queso vibes. 🧀
A Costco purchase! My non-vegan friend was raving about this and insisted I get it. I got my mom to buy it for me cuz she has a Costco membership lol I really enjoyed it! It is a lot of dip! I used it in many things like for nachos, with crackers, with veggies, on salads, on sandwiches. It was great! Not running back to get it again, but glad it is out there and that I tried it.
Such an impressive dip! No weird ingredients, but it’s got an amazing cheddary queso flavor! If it were about $3 cheaper I’d be buying it weekly at minimum, but at $7 it’s a treat. So worth it!
