They’re alright, nothing to shout about, a bit sweet, certainly an affordable brekkie/snack. Vg and #glutenfree too. They are individually wrapped, so expect a fair amount of plastic with the convenience. Historically when I've had these gluten free vegan banana bread slices from Coles, they've been very dry and crumbly in a dessicated spongy mattress way. This time was no different, even if these were on half price quick sale. 🥲 If you take it upon yourself to purchase these, accompany the sweetness with a strong brewed tea or so. Also, the slices are individually packaged, and the cake contains preservative and palm oil products.
Slightly gritty as with most gluten-free bakes. Personally felt it had a strange aftertaste despite the packaging saying it contained no artificial colours or flavours. Vegan banana bread is hard to come by in Sydney so I was elated to find this! There’s a very very slight hint of that sandy dryness of gluten free baked goods, but honestly barely noticeable. This is sweet and nostalgic and delicious!
