Look what I found at TJMaxx! Yes, these Frooze Balls I’ve enjoyed in the past,
like my all time favorite Lemon Cheesecake among others. But there was a new flavor I hadn’t seen here. Hmmm….Raspberry Dark Chocolate…and looks like a much better price than the $4.97 price at Walmart. (I’ve passed that aisle so many times, hoping the price would drop so I could buy it again.)
Anyway, you can definitely taste raspberry in these. The dark chocolate was not as bold tasting, and I wondered what they used to make that flavor. At first I didn’t see anything “chocolate,” but now notice that they use 5% cocoa. I’m guessing they mixed that with some dates, but it’s definitely not as creamy like what’s shown on the packaging, or like the creaminess of some of the other flavors I’ve had. Texture is firm on the outside, but still soft to bite into easily, and the middle is usually more creamy, but here it was more jelly-like. Still a good bite if you enjoy raspberries.
Nutritionally, each 7.4-ounce (210g) container, has 3 (70g) 5-ball servings, each providing 260 calories from 8g of fat, (4g of saturated fat from peanut, coconut and cashew), 44g of carbs (4g of fiber), and 4g of protein. They don’t call these energy balls for nothing.
I purchased these there for $3.79. Definitely a better price for my wallet. (I actually bought 3 containers! 😃)
