The stats on these are amazing! I cooked them up and used them for tacos. The taste was flavorful and the texture was chewy. I probably wouldn't eat it plain, but in tacos or on a salad it's a nice #protein source. #wheredoyougetyourprotein

Can’t believe these are made from mushrooms. Tastes and smells like steak without the cruelty or gross blood. We tried the classic and the carne asada. I prefer the carne asada as it’s already seasoned perfectly. Quick and easy to prepare. Perfect with mashed potatoes and green beans and some A1 sauce. They’re pricey at $10.99 a pack but Kroger sometimes has them on sale for $5.99.
I’ve been wanting to try Meati products for a while now, but haven’t been able to find them in Canada yet - since I’m down in the states I took the opportunity to try these steaks out! The texture is surprisingly meaty, but a teeny bit rubbery, which I kind of expected since it’s made from mycelium. The seasoning and flavour was very tasty. I think next time I would cook these in some sauce, as they were a bit dry. Overall, impressed at the texture they achieved with mycelium! Made primarily from mushroom root (mycelium), Meati’s Carne Asada steaks have a delicious taste & texture all their own. Full stop. No animals are needed to enjoy delicious & meaty foods. I’ve enjoyed this product several times & really love to shread the steaks into taco meat.
