I fully admit I’m late to the game with this one. I avoided purchasing

this for so long as I usually don’t care for vegan cheeses that are not nut or seed based and, at full price, I thought it was a pretty big risk of wasting both food and money to buy this. I recently found this close to expiring package at Grocery Outlet for .99. As it was near expiry and a fate of possible waste, it was a perfect time to give it a try.

To my surprise, I am really enjoying it! The texture is a bit more crumbly than I expected but the flavor is great! Many times I get overwhelmed with a “dairy tang” kind of flavor with oil/starch cheeses but either this one doesn’t have that or the garlic just overpowers it too well! It’s quite garlicky but I’m a garlic girl so it’s a good match. I do wish the herbs came through a titch more. I never had the original so I cannot compare it to that.

I’ve enjoyed it with crackers and also as a spread on a vegan chicken burger.

I prefer other spreadable cheese for crackers/dipping/etc so I’d purchase those over this at full price but I’d certainly pick this up again at a discount or even perhaps at full price once in a while for a change of pace.

Finally getting around to reviewing the Christmas vegan treats 🎅🏼 the vegan Boursin is more

of a thinner spread than the dairy alternative but that makes it easier to store and easier to spread IMO. I don’t think the garlic and herb flavour is a strong in this version but shove it on a garlic cracker and you’ve got yourself a right little treat! #veganchristmas #veganuary #veganuary2022

I was very pleasantly surprised by this boursin dairy-free garlic and herbs cheese alternative. I

had never tried the original so I didn't really know what to expect. Because it's labeled as a spread, I thought it was going to be somewhat thin and spreadable. It's actually kind of crumbly, and I think it's a perfect alternative to goat cheese. We have used it to dot on top of pizza - after we took it out of the oven because we didn't want it to melt down completely. We've also used it on bagels instead of cream cheese. But my favorite is to use some instead of feta on a Greek salad. I just add little clumps of it on top of the salad, and it is absolutely perfect!

To make the perfect simple Greek salad, I slice some ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions. Then I add a few black olives, a sprinkling of oregano, a drizzle of really good olive oil and some red white vinegar, and salt & pepper to taste. And to top it all off I add a few little chunks of the boursin dairy-free cheese!
It's a little bit on the expensive side I think it was about $5.99 for 170g at Trader Joe's, but a little bit goes a long way.

Loved this spread! The #garlic & herb flavor is excellent and great to spread on

some crackers or bread. I used this as part of a #charcuterie board and it was great! This is also #nongmo, #soyfree, #nutfree, and #glutenfree which makes it quite allergy friendly.
I would totally get this again and need to check if they have other plant-based flavors:)
This uses #followyourheart which is a brand I've liked in the past.
