Seeing a recent Boca review by @[kyu](user-62cee3d02aa4fc86c1786af9) reminded me that I never really gave Boca a fair shake.  Because they were founded in 1979, I would think that would make Boca one of the original plant-based brands. All the better time to give these spicy chick'n patties a shot!

These were pretty good. On par with a Morningstar buffalo chik patty I would say. Not a thick cutlet like a Gardein Ultimate Chick'n Filet or Incogmeato Spicy Crispy Chick'n Filet. They are fairly heavy on sodium (450mg, as opposed to 260mg on the similar Morningstar ones) if that is a consideration for your diet.

Gosh, I didn’t realize Boca was acquired by Kraft Heinz. I’m glad these conglomerates are realizing that if they wish to remain relevant, they’d best add plant-based vegan offerings to their portfolios.

Let’s hope they expand their Boca product line soon, in order to meet the moment/meet the growing demand for plant-based vegan products. 🍔

I love Boca, mostly because it was one of the few products available when I first when vegetarian and it made it so much easier! Plus they taste good, too!

I wish I could say I was vegetarian the whole time but I went Pescetarian for a while. 😩 But I'm older and wiser now with much more conviction!

i remember buying their burgers in a large bag from smart n final back when snf sold mostly in bulk to restaurants.

I'm kind of obsessed with spicy chik'n sandwiches, so had to try this out. Overall, I'd say this wasn't the best, but certainly wasn't the worst.

I like the thinner patty, and the breading stayed on. Crisped up decently. Reminded me of school cafeteria chicken.. I can't explain why. Could be spicier for my preference. Very little spice. I'd repurchase if they were on sale or didn't have the Morningstar ones.

i really love these. spicy chicken was my favorite before going vegan and i feel like i’m not missing anything with these. the spice level is not too much or too little for me ☺️ #veganisnotscary
