Soy-Free Tofu

Love this #tofu ! It's made from fava beans. It's so firm and chewy texture almost like a mock chicken. I loved it and would buy again!

First time trying a soy free tofu and I liked. The macros are great, the taste and consistency are very similar to the real tofu.

I was interested to try out this #soyfree “tofu” as I have several family members who are allergic to soy. I am happy to see that veganism is becoming more and more allergy friendly everyday, as in my family it is one of the main reasons people use for avoiding the topic of veganism (which makes it very hard to have a debate/conversation!). This tofu is made from fava beans, and cooked very similarly to regular soy tofu. If anything it was a bit softer and crumblier, which also allowed it to absorb more of the flavour in our dish. It has a bit of a different flavour, due to the fava beans, but it was nice and pleasant! the thing that drew me to this tofu is that there’s 64g protein per package! because of that i was worried it was too good to be true, but the taste is pretty comparable to any other tofu! i love to fry it up and use it in sandwiches, stir fries, or crumble it for tofu scramble! definitely a versatile product, and it holds its shape more than a lot of other tofus so i find it especially useful when i need a firm tofu. definitely recommend 🤞
