I don’t have much experience with plantain chips but I thought the chip itself had good texture. The flavor wasn’t great though. They hit the spice but there was no mango.

These were very enjoyable. I say "were" because this bag is not mine, I had to buy it again for a room mate since I ate her last bag! Very delicious, sweet with a hearty kick.
These are delicious! They are definitely spicy. They don’t taste like chips besides the crunch, because they aren’t chips! I would suggest liking plantains before trying these because there is plantain flavor there. The mango salsa though is goooood!! I’ll be trying other flavors and definitely buying this again. Healthier than potato chips!
The sweet/spicy combination was so good and the plantains had just the right amount of thickness to hold on to the seasonings without breaking apart. Only thing is that it’s very pricy at over $8 per bag. Will probably only repurchase if on sale
