I must I say that there were doubts about buying frozen #tostones, but my cravings
for a good Cuban-style meal overrode them!
These crispy fried plantains have only two ingredients: 95% #plantains and 5% #sunfloweroil, and come precooked so minimal time is needed to enjoy them. Instead of deep frying them, I added a little oil to a sauteƩ pan and basically heated them up until they browned a little. They were pretty close in taste to what I remember, slightly sweet and the right texture, and were so good with some black beans and rice! I will surely buy them again if they appear during Latino week at #lidl.
