What a creative and nutritious way to use watermelon seeds. This is a healthy nut free and protein rich alternative. The taste needs some getting used to if you do not eat watermelon seeds or butter regularly. Though the item is 3g of sugar per 2 tbsp, I found it still too sweet and hope they make an unsweetened salted one.

You’d think this bland seed would taste gross, but it’s really delicious! (And no, just like apple seeds, watermelon seeds don’t taste like the fruit.) The first thing I picked up on was the sweetness, and then the seedy taste. I found it mild with added sweetness. I was surprised, however, when I opened this one and it was really drippy. Even though I lightly kneaded it before opening, I did not notice anywhere on the packaging directing one to do such. Closer to the end it did start to firm up, so I’m unsure exactly what went wrong here. A packet contains 190 calories from 16g fat (3g saturated fat from sunflower), 7g carbs and 8g protein. A little too thin and sweet for me, (it does not taste like watermelon Incase you are wondering) . Might try it in a smoothie
Yikes😐 I like watermelon seeds🍉 and this tastes nothing like it, and not for the better... I don’t mind the running consistency too much, but the indescribable sweet yuckiness really threw me off. I’d have thought the point of adding extra ingredients (sugar and sunflower oil?!) is to enhance the flavor, not to ruin it. Not even some juicy apple slices can save it😕 Glad that I only got the pouch, not the jar (although I probly would have paid attention to the ingredient label in that case). I later found out there’s an unsweetened version (with sunflower oil still). Wonder how the sweetened one becomes the default😒 Lesson learnt: I should never judge the content by its “wholesome-looking” packaging. #abillionlove #seedbutter
