While on our vacation to #lapalma island, we planned to visit @santuarioveganpoint to see see their micro sanctuary project and to meet my adopted godson, Rock!! Isn't he the most handsome rooster? He wasn't expected to live for more than a year in the world of cock fighting but upon being rescued and cared for, turned 7 years old earlier this year! Rock is blind but inspite of this he thrives at Santuario Vegan Point. 💛🐓

May and Krl are most gracious hosts and their passion for veganism, caring for the sanctuary residents and bio/organic agriculture is inspiring! We had an amazing visit meeting all the residents, seeing the installations, helping harvest food to feed the chickens and roosters, helping feed them and then being given some organic goodies to take with us! In the second photo you can see a pasta dish I made with the organic farm-to-table tomatoes, kale, green beans and broccoli.
