🍺Ever wonder if beer is vegan?

⚱️The nectar of the gods, the drink of choice for 4 out of 5 frat boys on a Thursday, and, unfortunately, not always safe for those with allergies and vegans.

🐟🐷🐮Many brands of beer use animal-based ingredients in their brewing and filtration processes - ingredients like isinglass (fish bladder and stomach) and gelatin (mammalian hooves, tendons, and cartilage). Some brands even use mammal-based whey and lactose as active ingredients in the fermentation process. This can pose a serious threat to those with Alpha-Gal syndrome, a condition that causes an allergic reaction to mammalian meat.

🧠So for those making a conscious choice to not consume animal-based products - or those living with Alpha-Gal (a rare allergy to mammalian meat) - utilizing Amikno to verify that your beer is both safe-to-drink and animal-free makes sure it’s what you truly want to be ingesting.

🔎Amikno test strips detect animal products within 30 seconds. If the test pad changes to green or blue animal by-products have been detected. If the test pad remains yellow the product is animal free. Cheers🍻 (www.amikno.com)

alexsea According to the law, at least German beer may not contain animal ingredients or adjuvants, however, I generally reject alcohol (except for "Schwarzwälderkirschtorte" 😅).2 likesReply
