I finally got to try Vraja Cuisine's Teriyaki Rice Bowl with Mung Bean soup a couple days ago! I’m a sucker for teriyaki in general, and this one did not disappoint.
First of all, the service was prompt, and my Teriyaki Rice Bowl arrived only 19 minutes after I ordered. The presentation was eye-catching, with a colorful mix of teriyaki mock meat, cucumber and carrot "noodles" (which are not actually noodles), and a small amount of corn on the side.
The mock meat had a light crisp to its exterior that reminded me of croissant and was chewy on the inside, with a faint sesame taste and gentle spice. While it was a bit difficult to penetrate with the fork I used, it was easily cut or pulled apart with a spoon and fork. I’m not food expert; I don’t know if that quality meant it needed improvement because in my head, I just needed chopsticks for this dish rather than the utensils I used for that meal.
The viand was tasty, with the sauce being absorbed by the rice, enhancing the overall taste of the dish. The corn on top provided a sweet contrast, nicely providing variety to my palate along with the cucumber and carrot shreds. As someone who loves spicy and saucy dishes, I absolutely adored this. They’re practically making magic with tofu!
Overall, I highly recommend the Teriyaki Rice Bowl at Vraja Cuisine. It's a great choice for those seeking a satisfying and flavorful meal in Los Baños, Laguna. The mix of savory, spice, and sweetness is a winning combination that's sure to leave you feeling satisfied.
