This would have been a dull sandwich if I didn’t take it home to add some vegan mayo, cheese, and avocado. At about $20, this was very overpriced, but I gave it a chance because a fellow vegan in San Diego was told at one of their locations that if you just order the bread and ask for all the veggies, which are supposed to be complementary, you’d just be charged for the bread and not the whole Veggie sandwich, which normally includes 2 cheeses and mayo. But apparently that’s not the deal for all locations. There isn’t even any grace for swapping out the cheese for guacamole; you’ll still be charged extra. Nothing special about the bread either. Subway Sandwich has the same concept, but they’re also cheaper and have special offers (so does Jersey’s, but still too much for me) . Oh well, it was worth a try.
