Field Mushroom Soup

I felt a bit nauseous coming off work but I was too heartbroken to hear that Green Common was closing down, so I pulled through to eat here in person one last time 💔 This #mushroomsoup helped tide me over and while the taste of #truffle was strong and pungent, it strangely helped me feel a little better. The soup was alright but the bread stick thing was an abomination however. I’d usually have more to say, but alas.. 😕

Very nice mushroom soup. Full of natural tasting mushroom bits, not like those artificially creamy type. The bread stick was also tasty to dip in it.

The crouton was delicious, especially together with the soup! However, the mushroom soup itself could have been more flavourful.

The Field Mushroom Soup was delicious and creamy with a subtle truffle flavour from the truffle oil. I can’t remember tasting better. It came with a piece of bread toasted with melted cheese on top that added a crisp bite and was the perfect accompaniment to the creamy soup.

The soup was slightly watery and light, but had a strongly fragrant mushroom flavour. The cheesy bread stick was the right balance between crispy and chewy. (Guest review submitted by my sister)
