This is not bad, a little spicy. Quite filling. We each ordered something different then took small bowls and tried what the other ordered.. Out of the 2 this I'd rate as 2nd $15.80
I love curry, although some of my friends and family can take curry way above my level. I used to feel bad abt that, but trying to up my SQ (Spiciness Quotient) didn’t work; so, I wisely decided to accept myself as is.
#veganisnotscary when I’m happy dining:) Reading its menu feels like homecoming. I love ❤️ reading the little notes on every page & learning. It is like that I have found a friend who understands & shares similar values as me. I love that the noodles are #organic & #sundried instead of deep fried. The curry is homemade at Real Food. The curry isn’t the type that is thick & creamy. It is very much watery, & I guess it is because of the organic soy milk used. Though I prefer the curry to be creamier, I appreciate Real Food’s effort to make this dish healthier & lighter with organic soy milk instead of coconut cream. Even its choice of oil speaks of its belief in serving quality product. Extra Virgin coconut 🌴 oil has the least processing as compared to other coconut oil. This means more nutrients being retained :) At $15.80 before GST of 8% , this bowl of curry noodles is packed with long beans, tofu puff, cabbage & brinjal & topped with coriander leaves. I am very surprised there isn’t service charge of 10% unlike many other restaurants. This definitely make dining at Real Food much affordable than others. Real Food is one of the early vegan & vegetarian restaurant where vegans are a really small minority. It is like heaven on earth where I am spoilt for choices! Nowadays, I can easily dine at a lot of restaurants as vegan becomes increasingly mainstream. At the same times, I am seeing increasing early adopters of vegan restaurants closing, I really wish that Real Food continues to thrive. I enjoy dining here :)
Large bowl of housemade curry soup made with organic soy milk and extra virgin coconut oil. Definitely tasted lighter and cleaner than the usual coconut milk curry, but still nicely spiced! Served with organic sun-dried noodles, taupok fried tofu puffs, long beans, cabbage, eggplant, and potatoes (which seemed extra tasty, perhaps the potatoes were pre-fried/roasted?) (Allium-free, $15.80) #sgvegan #wholefoodplantbased #wfpb #organic
Big bowl of curry noodles. Cost about $15.80; definitely not inflation friendly price. That said, the curry broth is fragrant with good spices; soy milk and coconut oil. The noodles said to be organic and not the QQ type but still a good bite. Loads of vegetables in the bowl.
