When I see maitake on a menu it's hard to refuse! I've never had a brothless ramen before, so I was unsure about ordering this over the mushroom ramen, but the maitake sold it. The maitake were in huge chunks, so I needed to break them down first with my chopsticks. I love how maitake pulls apart! I'm not sure I really liked the brothlessness. The mushroom oil was flavorful, but it did feel like it was missing something. I'll have to return to the classic mushroom ramen next time. Make sure to ask for it vegan so they leave out the egg. #ramen #japanese #asianfood #mushroom #mushroomlover
