The taste of this lemonade lives up to its name. It really is amazing! The amount of tartness and sweetness is just perfect. I wish that I knew what kind of sweetener they use because I would love to emulate this with my own lemonade.  With just 3 items that I purchased on this visit, the bill kind of shocked me at about $45, especially considering that I was in the area to purchase a used item from someone, so this expensive meal, kind of made it not as good of a deal, lol. I thought about ditching drinks altogether next time I visit, but now looking at the breakdown of my cost, this was only about $6, so that’s not bad. The other 2 dishes I got were enough for 2 more meals, so it worked out to be around $15 a meal, still pricey for my standards, but skipping this tasty refreshing drink wouldn’t have made much a difference. Super crispy with yummy gooey mozzarella. I thought that the sauce was simply ketchup, as that is what it tasted like to me, which I felt degraded the taste of these sticks, so I just ate one and saved the leftovers for lunch the next day. Now that I’m reading the ingredients, I realize that this was actually marinara sauce, but that’s not what it tasted like to me. The next day, I had the leftovers with my homemade vegan buttermilk ranch dressing, which was much more complimentary. I simply reheated them in my toaster oven, which made it super crispy again, and made a meal out of them by wrapping each piece in big Romain lettuce leaves with tomatoes and avocados.  I used the ketchup/marinara sauce for another meal with onion rings. #mozzarellasticks #ditchdairy #foodtruck #veganoahu

I believe that the fillets are the Gardein brand, which is really good. This is best eaten fresh, so it won’t be as good if you take this to go or have leftovers. It’s a hearty serving, so I don’t think that I will get this again, unless I’m sharing with someone while enjoying it there, because my Gardein tacos are very similar to this and easy to make. There are still plenty other things that I want to try at this place anyway, since everything I’ve had here, which is a lot, has been great.  #fishtacos #foodtruck #veganoahu

Earth Aloha Eats is a fully vegan food truck conveniently located near many major hotels in a food truck hub (so you can bring your friends or family who may be skeptical about vegan food). On another note, there is also a thai food truck across from then thay has a vegetarian section which can be easily veganized ♡ The menu is varied with tacos, bowls and burger/sandwich options 😻 I got a pulled pork sandwich on ciapatta bread. It was very full with the faux pork and cabbage slaw. Very filling and delicious! #veganisnotscary #honoluluvegan #veganpork

These are really simple, just filled with yummy gooey cheese and a side of ketchup. There is an option to add mock chicken. I didn’t care for the ketchup and would have preferred a side of salsa or guacamole, but I guess that their idea was to keep it as simple as possible, since this is in the Keiki portion of the menu. When I was in Maui, these vegan fish tacos from a food truck in a random parking lot were honestly one of the best things I ate. They were SO DAMN GOOD! Earlier that day, a sign declaring “vegan banana bread” led me to a man selling his own fantastic banana bread, accompanied by free coffee and great conversation. I wish I remembered his name; his business had a fantastic metal music pun. Anyway, he heartily recommended Earth Aloha Eats, so I just had to lure the rest of my vacation company there. To give you a sense of what a blessing this food truck foray was for me—my crew that week was my partner’s entirely non-vegan family. You know the struggle of being stuck with people who thoughtlessly choose restaurant after restaurant with 0 mains you can eat and maybe 1 vegan side. To illustrate the point further, one day we brought sandwiches to a volcano hike, and I was about to smear a package of PB I managed to find onto some bread, only to find out the mom made meat and cheese sandwiches with the whole loaf…such that there was no bread left for me and somehow more sandwiches than there were people to eat them. Anyway, these tacos were tasty, the “fish” absolutely to-die-for (without any of the death), drenched in satisfying sauce. I savored every bite. Their setup was also awesome, with their neon sign and seating, the rock music being pumped out—and I was super excited to spot an abillion sticker on the truck! 🤟🏼 Wishing them continued success, and maybe one day I can return!
