Presentation was nice for this. Food was just ok, merely acceptable if you’re picky. Only the #rice was ok delicious n freshly cooked it feels like it came out straight frm the cooker. You can taste the fragrance of the #pandan . The fried #mockfish was hard and it was clearly kept a long time n heated in the microwave before being served. The fried #longbeans were soggy. But the worst was the #achar which had turned sour and basically tasted bad, even though achar is a fermented dish. The #sambal was ok nothing fantastic. Not something i would order again.
The coconut rice had some uneven clumps, and was topped with a single piece of soy 'fish' that was very thin and overly fried, resulting in it being tough and unpleasant. Served with roasted peanuts and 'ikan bilis', cucumber slices, French green beans, tangy achar, and sambal chilli sauce. Personally felt this was the least impressive among the dishes I tried, and sorely lacking in ingredients - especially the protein. (The menu picture showed 2 pieces of 'fish'.) Would have liked some additional sides, such as sambal tempeh goreng, turmeric tofu slab, etc. (Allium-free, $6.90) #sgvegan #minorityowned
This dish was good. It seems like they're still figuring out the kinks, but you can see that they are trying really hard! I would definitely encourage everyone to give them a try at least once. Notes: This is right beside Bodhi Deli This dish cost me $6.90.
Didn't like the rice. The coconut milk that made it taste little artificial and overpowering. The mock fish were v dry and hard. Achar, papadam, vegan anchovies and peanuts were ok, sambal a tad too sweet, french beans overcooked.
