Back in office again and good to see a steady stream of customers at the eatery. Tried one of the Thursday specials - Bak Kut Teh. They have a choice of rice or noodles and I chose bee hoon. The dish came piping hot in a claypot. There was quite a number of ingredients- monkeyhead, shiitake and enoki mushrooms, yuba, fried bean curd skin and lettuce. I also added extra spinach at $1. I would have preferred a stronger herbal taste to the soup but it was still tasty overall.
Pretty generous ingredients including enoki mushrooms, beancurd skin, and substantial chunks of lion mane mushroom. Soup was quite fragrant, but thought it could've been more peppery!
there isn’t any mock meat inside, just the soup. but it tasted like the real one! its herbal, really nice & cheap
Comes with fresh shiitake, monkeyhead mushrooms, soy beancurd sheets & other veggies. Love the herbal taste of this! :) #soup #broth
I felt this was overpriced; $10 + additional 20 cents to take-away. The soup is only so-so, much like those pre-packed powder form spices you can get in supermarkets. I liked that there are monkey head mushrooms inside.. but other than that, it’s basically just tau kee, little bit of golden mushrooms and lettuces. Not worth the price.
