I had been looking forward to trying this for a long time, and it didn’t disappoint! 🍳 The egg yolks were big and round and jiggly, and they POPPED and spilled out the runny yolk which was cool. They had a nice eggy flavour without being too salty, and they was enough egg yolk and mashed avo to be a good ratio for the thick sourdough. It’s en expensive brunch (around £8.50) but worth it IMO
So sublime. Eggiest egg ive had in years. I’ve had a few vegan “eggs” and i’ve never rated any of them but these were actually very close to real eggs. The rest of the dish was delicious too 🍳
Avocado & lime sourdough toast with vegan fried eggs. They’re made from tofu somehow! This was £6.50 and I think it was a special price for the day. So probs pretty pricey but tbf there’s nothing like it elsewhere in Edinburgh. I’ve not had eggs in 4 years but I think they’re pretty close. Not as rich as real eggs either so easier to eat.
