Review of No Pork Streaky Bacon - Plant Kitchen (M&S) by dafnelately
This is such a versatile product đ My experience with #bacon pre-veganism is limited & not so fond. I found it typically too salty, greasy, and the texture a little.. unsettling đ„” That said, thereâs something about the aesthetic of a breakfast platter with a few strips of the stuff that I always found visually pleasing. This cartoon-like #veganbacon even more so! đ€ The amazing #breakfast platter in the first photo is courtesy of @m1tch9i of course đ Such an amazing pairing with #mushrooms and some #veganegg!! đŁ The #seitan like texture is a great sponge for oil while not getting overly greasy or #jialat đ” As is, it isnât too salty either! Thinking of the likes of #carbonara, I mused how great this would be as a stand in for guanciale đ Is #veganguanciale a thing?? Anyhow, this worked in that case too for an amazing #spaghetti meal! Of course it wonât render out the equivalent fat but my #cholesterolfree begs to differ for flavour. It was just as excellent! Finally, I also thought Iâd swap this for #luncheon in my regular #maggitomyam et. voila! A whole rendition of an already amazing dish đ€© All while remaining absolutely #crueltyfree đ I doubt this will turn any omnivores over, but I think itâs great to bridge the gap for those trying to make the jump or for nostalgiaâs sake đ Anything for a more vegan world!
That đ looks delicious! đ€€ 1 likeReply
