Sambal tempeh rice set

$4.80. Sambal is moderately spicy & the tempeh were deep-fried. Love the mildly tangy pickles on the side!

i know i know, it looks really greasy, but i swear it's worth every bit of oil and more 😩🤤 so flavourful!! i always say i wanna try other things on their menu but can't resist this every single time lol 🥲 comes with a heaping plate of brown rice (not pictured)

finally!!! been craving this for AGES 😌 they call it sambal tempeh but it's really so much more than that: there's long beans, okra, brinjal, tau kwa and tempeh, all coated in a thick layer of sweet savoury spicy sambal belacan. some other rambles: - i found it only mildly spicy but my spice tolerance is pretty high haha - i often prep shirataki noodles whenever i go to Vege Pot because most of their dishes are super saucy and the noodles really soaks all the flavour up 🤤 - the portion size is HUGE!! (same goes for all their other dishes.) even without rice this was super filling for me. lasted me the whole afternoon till dinner. - this was definitely quite oily! and i tend to be more averse to oily foods but this tastes so freakin good that the oil doesn't bother me 🤪 tldr i love tempeh i love Vege Pot & my taste buds are v happy!!!

Sambal isn’t too spicy, with some sweetness. Again, they’re very generous with the veggies, lots of eggplant, lady’s finger, okra and even tofu. Can be quite filling but overall, a very satisfying and delish meal 🤤 💸: $6.50
