I haven't been to Hard Times in way too long! It's an amazing place to get some classic vegan diner food for a pretty reasonable price! I also love the punk aesthetic, progressive messaging, and the fact that it's #workerowned. The Vegan Rancheros has tofu scramble, salsa, cilantro-jalapeño sauce, and ancho-lime black beans (or you can choose refried pinto instead) on top of flavorful corn tortillas. I chose to add the house-made vegan cheese as well. I loved the big tofu chunks. All the sauces work together really well to make it very flavorful throughout. The cheese is also really creamy.
