It’s good but wasn’t the best out of the three we ordered. The cake was

slightly hard when it was served, probably because it’s was right out from the fridge. The cake had layers of chocolate ganache and topped with ‘cream cheese’ with coconut chips.

This wasn’t the tastiest red velvet I’ve had and even for a vegan dessert I’d

probably give it 2.5-3 stars. Probably compared to the chocolate one I had, this was fairly average tasting.

Edit: Had it the next day and it tasted great, I guess the chocolate one took away the subtle tastes of red velvet.
I’d give it 4 stars now.

This cake had a flavourful, dense and moist red velvet sponge, smooth dark chocolate layers

studded with crunchy cocoa nibs, toasted coconut flakes (which I later removed) & a rich vanilla buttercream on top 🍰 #sgcakes #veganisnotscary

I’m mad that it’s called a red velvet cake on the menu but it tasted

more like a cake made of dates 😭 Its also not moist at all, it’s actually on the dry side. It’s misleading and disappointing when you get something so far off from what you expected. I would not recommend this unless you like the taste of dates cauz that’s all I got from this :(

Loved the flavor, just the perfect sweetness. The toppings on top and the cream complemented

the cake. However, I find the texture a little but rubbery. #veganuary

Does not taste like the traditional red velvet that I'm used to. The coconut cream

frosting was very oily and the cake was very hard and more brownie textured than red velvet.

I can taste the dates and chia seeds, and the cake isn't too sweet, so this is a rather health conscious cake. Chocolate layers between the cake was probably the best part.

I'd say that while eating this, I was more craving the brownies I had at home. I'm slightly disappointed.

Great cake for meal replacement, I really couldn't eat dinner after this cake as it was soooo dense 😂

Not quite convinced about this red velvet cake from Privé. First it was a bit

too sweet for my liking. Then the flavour felt quite artificial.
On the brighter side, it wasn’t dry the way I feared it would be when I first saw the slice, and was rather moist. Yet it lacked a bit of change in the texture and could definitely use something crunchy (else than the coconut flakes on the top). Also, the cream cheese was quite nice (even though too sweet once again) and made the cake overall better.
Still, I wouldn’t recommend this. It tastes a bit like the overly sweetened and artificial/unhealthy birthday cake we all once had at least once. I was all the more disappointed as I had loved Privé’s carrot cake, which comes in a similar price and at the very same price ($7++). It is sooooo much better, both in terms of taste and texture!

I love Privé and was so excited to see a vegan red velvet cake on

the menu but this missed the mark for me. Traditional red velvet cake is dense, where this one is wet. I wasn’t a fan of the coconut flakes on top either. And there were layers of chocolate icing instead of cream cheese icing. It definitely wasn’t traditional red velvet cake. I had a few bites and didn’t eat the rest 😕

This red velvet cake was good 😌 THICC AF!

Very chocolatey, but not too chocolatey, i

thought it was nicely balanced.

The unexpected bit was a zingy sweet cream on top. Since red velvet is usually topped off with cream cheese, I expected vegan cream cheese or coconut whipping cream. But the tart cream with - I suppose - lemon wasn’t bad, just different.
