AVIS LES PLUS UTILES

Delicious, nutritious and warming daal, served with a healthy dollop of vegan cream and mango

chutney. Perfect for warming up after a day of sightseeing. The cafe is very welcoming, nice 'hippie' vibes, with a hippy shop downstairs too! It's expensive, but so is everywhere in Reykjavik to be fair. And it was lovely to be able to get a fresh cooked vegan meal in a purely vegan cafe.

In Islanda quasi ogni ristorante ha almeno un’opzione vegana… ma questo ristorante vegano nel pieno

centro di Reykjavik è assolutamente imperdibile. Di questo dahl ne mangerei almeno tre piatti 😋

Well, Dahl is always a great classic! The spices in it are always so well

balanced. Very comfort food, warming and yummy.

FINALLY
I’ve been following Icelandic reviews for a year now, seen this

place come on my page a lot and I WAS FINALLY THERE!! 😃😃
I have to this, this place is very recommendable, but also it was strange.
To star of, this dish is BEYOND DELICIOUS🤤🤤 It is creamy protein packed lentil dahl with delicious mango chutney and yoghurt and rice 🍚🤤🤤
The dahl is a bit spicy, but blended with the rice it’s perfect! 🤤 All their main dishes are also #soyfree ! 😄 (Their DISHES, NOT ❌❌ Desserts)
This place has a very zen, calm sphere. The owner is the friendliest man. The waitress was a bit, idk how to describe it…. I think it was because it was very busy. Multiple customers were, in my opinion, rude. Asking multiple times if it will take much longer, she was apologising all the time.
In Belgium, it’s standard to wait 30-60min after you’ve ordered 🤷🏼 That’s all I’m saying. Patience is a nice thing 🧘🏼‍♀️ We came in very late, so most of their disges were already sold out 🥲🥲
Anyway, it’s VERY expensive 🤑🤑 FOR a tourist! Not in Icelandic standards, then the price is just usual. 😅😅 this bowl was €22.5 —> 3390 icelandic crones 🤑
Btw, the name is Dhal a la mama
Pls for the love of god just type how it is named on the menu (could be it was named differently in the past, but I see this restaurant has spanish names reviewed, which seems highly unlikely 🙂🙃)
