#forthedollar, anything counts 😊 Got this Japanese #greentea because I wanted a cool refreshing drink but didn't feel up to anything of the other more substantial options. It cost me RM8 and because it comes with a teabag inside the glass you can refill it until the taste runs out on you 😉

A #cake made of layers of #crepe, the texture was good in that it didn't just crumble upon impact from the cutlery 😉 They used to pair the #matcha with white chocolate, but the #adzuki (#redbean) is an earthier and less sweet but more complementary pairing imo 🙂 A huge slice costs you RM18, we shared it between two of us, five hours after dinner and it still lasted a fair bit (yeah, Loving Cafe closes at 8pm so you end up having dinner at strange hours like 6.45pm 🙄, we bought this cake precisely because we were afraid of hunger pangs later on in the evening) Looks stunning in the display doesn't it 🥰

Not often that you find something #whitechocolate that is also vegan round these parts 😉 This was so clearly homemade (perhaps by one of their partners rather than by themselves) because the palate was completely off-piste. Not in a bad way, just that you'd struggle to find a #blueberry #icecream that had this taste profile. More berryful than sweet (#berrylover 🙌), yet without the characteristic tartness or acidity that you might expect. In parts reminiscent of a Chinese herbal concoction, or maybe that's just my imagination 🤨 Anyhow, something that I'm glad I found in the display case!

#donburi, things in a big bowl, yet I would've hoped for more things, aren't I a glutton 😛 There was an embarrassment of #cabbage atop a generous serving of #japaneserice, and the highlight was to have been the #cutlet things (interpreted by mushrooms 😉) Not gonna lie I was hoping for a bit more flavour and variety overall, and this would be in three-star territory were the #misosoup not so outstandingly delicious 😋😋

Wasn't expecting something this huge when we ordered #maki 😅, this is definitely not something you could just dip into the wasabi sauce and send down in a single bite 😬 The #soyfloss was tasty and did its job, and whatever the crunchy thing was in the filling was much appreciated. Just that the sushi rice could do with being just that little bit stickier!

I did rather enjoy this, though more for the breading than for the #veganshrimp 😅 The texture was artificial enough that you'd know it wasn't real, and the girth was just a bit too much on the high side. The #veganmayo was amazing though, I'd gladly buy a litre of it for rainy days 😋

Standard beverage really, available hot or cold. I got the latter, because that's how I roll with my #lemontea 😛 Big slice of lemon inside the glass, enough flavour for my #sweettooth ☺️

Thick, earthy #soybean drink with #cincau mixed in 😋 Get this if you're hardcore #teamsoy, otherwise you'll likely find this off-putting 😉 Not terribly sweet though that can be fixed in other ways, paper straw on the side ☺️

You get a humongous serving of #currymee for RM17.50, and they were kind enough to accommodate our request to mix in some beehoon 🙂 Beneath the mound of #taugeh there's also loads of #longbeans, #taupok, #tofu, etc. The usual cast 😉 Only real issue was that the #curry was downright strange. It was sour (girlfriend suspects star anise), not particularly flavourful, and just plain spicy in some places 🤨 A shame because they had everything else in place for this to be brilliant 😭 #diningwithchopsticks for this most quintessential of #malaysianeats 😛
