Holy smokes I didnā€™t even realise this was #hericiummushroom until I read the other reviews

of it šŸ¤Æ How the hell is this so good?! The batter is straight up #ayampenyet and the crisp.. someone hold me Iā€™m about to walk back for some more šŸ˜¤ Also shut up I know Iā€™ve been visiting this place a lot I just miss my #sambal and this is literally the only place with vegan-friendly sambal it seems?? Who puts shrimp in sambal? Yā€™all wilding šŸ’€

Smashed fried chicken made using lionā€™s mane mushroom that was tender yet had a fibrous

meaty texture. Always love dishes made using whole foods instead of meat substitutes, especially given the cognitive benefits of lion's mane mushrooms. Not my first time eating this but still just as impressed by the seasoning and crispy batter, which were so on-point even without the use of alliums! Not too oily either. My non-veg mum who likes ayam penyet enjoyed this as much as the real deal. Served with chilli sauce. (Allium-free, $13.90) #sgvegan #womenowned

Argh the picture here really doesn't do the #ayampenyet any justice šŸ˜ There was a

table of hungry diners around me so I didn't dare to dally with my camera šŸ˜¬ This was the one that most impressed the omnivores, actually, with many remarking that the #lionsmanemushroom approximated the texture of #chicken šŸ˜‰ Although they promised something fried, the texture wasn't super crispy on the outside (even if they slapped more crispy bits on top of everything). I'm glad that it's 2023 and I'm able to say this: I think it's quite easy to find better versions of this elsewhere šŸ˜…

Oh boy, this is my favourite dish I tried out of the 3! Delicious flavour

and texture, so well seasoned, no wonder my non veg friends were raving about Ayam penyet and this is my first time trying it. They used some kind of mock meat that was so good omg!!! $12.90 but I'm willing to pay as it's so good! Goes well with the chilli on the side which isn't too spicy. Nice sides with the lemak rice. Good meal with @roa5t it's not every day you get to eat Indonesian šŸ‡²šŸ‡Ø vegan food. Staff are very friendly too. #vegbuddies

I only give 5 stars āļø for foods with high nutritional value.
If I am

not mistaken, this dish literally means ā€˜smashed chickenā€™. Donā€™t worry, no sentient beings were harmed in the making of this dish.
Itā€™s pretty ā€˜meat-likeā€™ and the taste and texture is close enough. I donā€™t need it to taste like meat. But for those who do, this is a good option.

Yum this was so good, was really impressed at how closely it tasted to ayam

penyet which was one of my go tos before I became vegan. Even my omni family was impressed at how this tasted and the mouthfeel of it in general which felt like fried chicken. Came with house made sambal chilli which is a bit on the sweeter side for me and not enough for the amount of ā€˜ayamā€™, but overall still a solid dish that I would get again

Best dish of the meal!! It's not very crunchy as expected, but super flavorful! Really

love this! Only it's quite a small portion for the price. Still, yumz!!

this was not bad! the sambal was the right spice level. but just a little

sour and diluted for me. would be perfect if it was the right balance of sweet and sour, with a thicker consistency. appreciated the originality of the mock ayam penyet. the outside is just right! crispyy. but if i had to choose between this mock ayam penyet and their kalasan fried chicken, iā€™d pick kalasan. all in all, still a decent dish. (rice was sold separately)
