Vegetarian Popiah

This #popiah was not quite as crunchy as the first one I tried, perhaps just because it was pre-rolled, so it just wasn’t as fresh. Still, the flavours were on point and the price was veryyy accommodating. #cheapeats #malaysianeats #popiahparty

First time tried Poppiah was when I am in Ipoh, sadly I bring my expectation here. This poppiah is not as crispy and I can tell it has been sitting there for a while.

Humble in appearance and humble in price. Contains beansprouts, lettuce leaves, crispy shallots, and peanut sauce. I don't quite understand why they don't use turnip though, that's the defining ingredient in popiah and is also what most retains the heat.
