Vegan Chimichanga

full disclosure i did not know what a chimichanga was even while ordering this but i knew it was popular and had heard great things about it! i enjoyed the seitan chorizo the most; i thought it was texturally accurate and tasted great. i also enjoyed the other fillings and the tortilla, but the sauces really took it to the next level. the sauces also provided some different flavor combinations and kept everything moist but separated enough from the outside to inside of the chimichanga to prevent the whole thing from becoming “soggy.” the presentation is beautiful, and it is totally backed up by the taste. i also liked that it came out hot and was clearly freshly prepared! definitely recommend this 🤞

This HUGE Chimichanga is loaded with flavor! I always save half for later and make two meals out of it! Already vegan and they offer many other vegan items as well. #chicago

Seitan chorizo, tofu, vegan cashew queso, peppers, flour tortilla, black beans, rice, guajilla sauce, pico de gallo and guacamole!

One of our favorite dishes here. The queso makes this dish! Super filling, flavorful and they don’t skimp on the size or that queso!

Handlebar has become known for this dish and it makes sense! It is truly the KING of all breakfast foods! They do an awesome job with the tofu, cashew queso, and all the veggies and rice packed inside!! I usually eat half, then enjoy the other half as leftovers! Just as good the next day! #mercyforanimals
