Hete bliksem is the flemish version of Shepherds pie. It’s basically the same, but you
add applesauce. It is absolutely delectable, one of my favorite dishes ever 🤤🤤🤤 This restaurant, apart from price, definitely ranks very high. They have a decent amount of vegan options (unfortunately not all vegan 🙁). But I haven’t found an all vegan restaurant anywhere on the whole coast line of Belgium (probably because this is the provence with the most animal farmers).
I hadn’t eaten a vegan Hete Bliksem, last times I ate it was 4 years ago, pre vegan times. So was very happy to find this 😁😁😁 Ofcourse this is a very easy dish to make at home as well.
